Hi
Looking at a fellow members range rover and it has a fault on the air suspension!
All the lights have gone off the air suspension height indicator and its logging a DTC Fault no 53.
Sporadic fault currently present.
This will not reset with my hawkeye
Could this be the Air suspension Ecu/ECM
If the ecu needs replacing/ how much? Where can one be obtained at he rite price? And what is needed to program a new one when its fitted?

Help please!

unusual to just get a code. you should also get an description for the code

hawkeye should give a full description of the fault code.

Air suspension ECU's are not know for failures, suspension needs to be pretty reliable although i don't know that much about the L322 system. I'd be looking at other places first, CANBUS, battery, alternator etc.

when you press clear on the hawkeye to clear the fault do the lights on the suspension panel light up ?

No nothing is happening.
They recently fitted a sub woofer and disconnected the battery!
When refitting the battery, the air suspension was not working!
I have been thru all the systems and cleared lots of old fault codes on various systems but still unable to clear the fault.

I tried to raise the air suspension from normal to maximum using the hawkeye in manual over ride mode, this kicked in the compressor but did not raise the car,
It did however put a slight glow on all the air suspension indicator lights, but did not allow the fault to clear!
More help required please!

Suck eggs time - you did do the Full lock to Full lock on battery reconnection?

Yes sorry Hippo,
There was a description too!
Something about positive connection short!
Sorry I can't tell you more as it was getting dark and the Range rover lives on top of a very big Pennines hill and it was getting cold very quickly!

Not sure if it causes lights out - but it does disable the EAS if the Steering Angle Sensor is not reset - but then again you's also have HDC and DSC warnings too, so maybe it is not that!

Hmm
It did have a DSC fault logged, not sure about HDC,
It's worth trying just incase!
So,let me make sure I'm getting this rite.
Turn ignition on?
Turn steering wheel all the way to the left!
Then turn steering wheel all the way to the right!
Then back to centre!
Ignition off!

Yep - hold for a couple of secs in the lock position - with engine on Obviously!!

The phrase "positive connection short", does that perhaps refer to the safety positive connection fitted in case the car turns over, maybe because the battery has been disconnected or reconnected in the wrong manner.
Maybe miles off but just a suggestion.

Everything else is working so I presume the battery is fitted correctly,

Just texted Steve, the owner, he sais he did this after reconnecting the battery!

I'm thinking this maybe a fuse issue!( positive short, as stated on Hawkeye)
Hmmmmmm
However Steve says all fuses are ok.
What number fuse controls air suspension ECM?

not sure... if the steering wasnt calibrated soon after the battery was disconnected can it be done later on ?

i would try disconnecting battery again, let the warning lights come up as they should (DSC, EAS inactive etc... then do the full lock with your steering.

just incase it wasnt done correctly before !
