i have a td6 I have changed dampers and toe link on both sides at the rear, but I now have a clunking on the rear left when it hits a bump small pot holes etc only comes from that side.
It also seems to sit slightly lower on that rear left side.
Can anyone give me ideas what it might be please. I love my rr but she keeps me busy lol.
Thanks Petebowling

Top and bottom bushes on hub end, have you had tracking done since changing rear toe links ?

No not had it done yet tried today to get four. Wheel alignment but they cannot do it as there is two centimetres difference between front left and right from the wheel arch to the centre of the wheels. Air shocks ok and no warning lights any ideas.

Bushes should be torqued with weight on wheels. and also the eccentric washers should be positioned in the same place they came off from.

Hi Saint v8
If I haven't got the eccentric washers in the right place from when removed how can I find out the right place to make sure they are correct.

There are toe and camber or castor adjusters at the rear, kwik fit did my 4 wheel alignmentment after I changed my rear bushes and rods and also when I did all my suspension arms at the front but I know the blokes in my local kwik fit and they are really good

As Above - you'll need to get a full alignment done to get the angles etc correct, if the eccentric washers where not put back in the correct place.

When you say front wishbones do you mean upper and lower ? the two arms that go to the bottom of front hub (forget what land rover call them) dont have any adjustment, well mine didnt should I say when I did both bottom arms front left because rear bush was shot.

only front tracking adjust but when I changed all the arms and had to disconnect the track rod ends and also all arms changed and bottom ball joint I wanted to make sure everything front and back was aligned and tracking correct.

Suspension bushes are a common failure item.

Yes I'm going to change the bottom and top hub bushes both sides and the wishbone top and bottoms all bushes then look at getting the full alignment done. is this a costly thing to have done the alignment?

Hi had my sport done earlier this year at ATS cost 65 squid

The sensible reply should have been you only need the weight of the vehicle on the wheels when doing the front arms.
Do you have rave as it is all in there.
Sorry @Saint.V8 I seem to be abusing you a lot recently ..

Suspension in standard ride height so the bushings are in there normal and most used orentation to the brackets, then torque up. If they are torqued with wheels dangling or with the suspension collapsed, they will tear when the suspension flexes.....so at standard they are more or less in the centre of their range of travel.

I only touch my toes for you Andy......you know that.
