Hi I'm new to the site and need some help. bought a freelander yesterday and find after driving a couple of miles I cant get it out of gear and the clutch pedal is practically down to the floor, when I pump it a few times it goes back to normal, any help really appreciated.
Jack.

Thanks Simon. I tend to think its more serious, perhaps the slave cylinder is knackered as when you hold the pedal down while waiting for traffic lights to change ect, its impossible to take it out of gear and I have to stall the engine before I can disengage, then when I pull up the pedal it goes back to normal, after a couple of miles just driving normal I'm finding it gets gets harder and harder to change gear, I'm up the wall supposed to be off on holiday friday and just don't trust it.
Cheers mate.
Jack.

It's a sealed unit so afraid you'll have to replace master and slave together. There have been other threads here where people had problems even after changing them as they need a bit of time for them to settle. Don't buy a cheapo ebay kit though, buy cheap and buy twice.
Easy job though, should be done in an hour.

Yip, forgot about that one, The arm becomes sticky and causes the problem in the first place.
