The wonky one

My Range Rover has issues with air suspension air pump ok cannot find any air leeks brought Rsw solutions
Kit and could not find any faults will go to normal running height if i try to raise orange light flashes but does not go up if i lower does not go down but light flashing

Youay have a physical leak that the computer can't track but if you have some leeks that is a positive :p
Free food.. :)

hi there wonky
ah that problem, myself and many, many others have been there scratchin at heads trying to fathom it..@kds and myself got quite good! after the initial disbelief.
so here goes,
the l322 is very susceptible to low weak battery voltage and causes no end of issues, that can cause ghost faults,(scan with battery charger connected, keeping b/v up)
all doors need to be shut
scan all systems,
not just air suspension if there's a fault in bcu or light unit or others it wont work or erase as the eas faults lurk in what can seem like strange places
air pressure on a good eas system /pump should be approx 11.4 bar
checking for physical air leaks,
i found it easy with ldf leak detection fluid, from plumbers merchants, i was ex gas and other trades so already had that
jack up the car manually, hydraulic jack n choc n put stands under it and then examine air bags, i found my front bags were in poor condition and looked like elephant skin then they split and then i replaced both new legs..n some sensors....long story.
check each wheels height corrector sensor for damage,
and being actually connected the right way around and hasnt over articulated and gone back wrong way, ( inwards instead of outwards )
splitting will occur at 'eye end' and fall off,and they seize up too,
don't rule out bent thin Chinese non genuine brackets that hold on the sensor in the wrong position, the arms will move up and down many degrees of travel
BUT that doesn't correspond like for like on the computer in actual values, in fact the car only see's a very small movement in terms of arc of travel on the sensors.
i had excellent advice from members on here so again thanks to mr back in black,kermit,@kds and @stustrong and all the others
i used an icarsoft v2, foxwell nt530 and thanks to much help getting inpa downloaded and set up,from the above, the eas problems were all sorted
the foxwell did get a bad rap and i even moaned at it but using it correctly in conjunction with the inpa it was invaluable and i still recommend it in terms of ability and cost effectiveness
best of luck

With mine the issue was a failed pump and two height sensors. The symptoms were the same as yours.

The garage simply connected the diagnostics kit to the car and vola they just fixed it.

Since there are so many systems interconnected a fault in other unrelated systems can stop the air suspension working.

This is why I have not bought a diagnostics kit as I would have to understand what it told me and how all these systems interact with each other. I simply don't.

Without a diagnostic kit that can read all systems you may find it hard to resolve faults.

Hi Wonky,
You have looked for fault codes ? are there any ?. With my limited knowledge id say the pump is normally the weak link. even if you think its fine, a pump that is not providing the correct pressure would lead to the suspension not working properly. Mine would never work. endless codes. sure the pump was fine. changed the piston ring and it was worse. then replaced the piston cylinder and ring and the codes cleared. it has worked perfectly for a year since.
As others have also stated, any other faults can instantly affect the suspension. last week I had a door window problem, it set of can bus fault codes that stopped the suspension from working. There must be some kind of fault code to read.

Good Luck
