I have a 2002 TD6 Range Rover..
The fault I’m after some pointers about is as follows...
When I start it up the suspension works fine, orange lights at the switch etc are on and suspension can be adjusted to any height... But after a few minutes it switches off and to reactivate it I have to turn the ignition off and on then it works fine again for a few minutes!!??... any ideas guys.. also anyoneknow what this is on the screen display-when touched it turns green then goes redagain..

There was no touchscreen in the 2002-2005 L322's it came in on the 55 plate (2006MY) when they fitted the fibre optic media system called MOST (Media Orientated System Transport).

I think the icon is for the suspension inhibit switch......

I think you would need to plug it into diagnostics to find out if the EAS ECU is showing any fault codes.....but I am confused as you say it is a 2002, but it has the 2006 touchscreen, and there were two major facelift periods - 2006 and 20010/11

Well, the issue of it having a touchscreen doesn’t really bother me and I was after some pointers to maybe stop having to do diagnostic stuff.. I’ve had a diagnostic plugged in for something else and it didn’t show any suspension issues...as for the icon- I would be interested to know what it actually is supposed to do- should it turn green and stay green also...

I am not dissing the touchscreen - the point I am making, which you fail to grasp, is that the 2002-2005 did not have the touchscreen fitted as it is NOT compatible with the wired (copper) data buses and was ONLY fitted to the 2006MY and onwards vehicles that were fitted with the Ford MOST fibre Optic system.

My point being, if it is indeed fitted to a 2002 vehicle you will find that it may not work correctly or in the way it was originally designed.

The EAS system on the 2002-2005 model year was controlled via a manual knob on the lower part of the centre console, the later models were controlled using the touch screen.

Unless there are some fecking super modding geniuses out there who have managed to get the old aged CANbus data system to talk with the MOST Fibre Optic system then the height functions and EAS controls on the touchscreen may not even have any function at all....

Do you have the terrain response Mode dial by the Drive selector?
 
'Ave a look in the instruction manual it might give you some pointers as to what the warning means..

Most of my owners manual is a chapter regarding warning lights...

Check the battery condition and output voltage of the alternator, these get real skittish when the battery is poor or the alt is tired..

The touchscreen works fine with the functions on it- radio,cd player,4x4 section and phone..no suspension options on the touchscreen except for showing the height and steering angle- the suspension is controlled by a knob with orange lights and there is a hill decent and terrain switch near the gear lever...
