Hi folks, after some advice/ideas please.

Last weekend I replaced the radiator and thermostat on my TD5 due to a leak.
Bled the system and ran her and she seemed fine.
The temperature Guage though only goes about a quarter of the way up. Hot air coming out of he heater on request and the water coolant level still seems fine.
Got on the motorway today and after about 10 mins the needle went to half way (normal). As soon as I came of the slip and slowed it dropped down again:confused:
It's then up and down like a yoyo dependant on the engine speed!! Never goes above normal though!
The sensor was replaced late last year and I'm pretty sure I've bled her properly:scratching_chin:

Anyone got any ideas what to check next please?

Happened to me too... a new GENUINE thermostat sorted it...the cheap "replacement part ISO ...." craps used to do that cos the main valve's
spring in them is not flexible enough.

That sounds like a plan! I know it wasn't a genuine one I put in there :(
That'll teach me!
Many thanks for the replies :)

I've got exactly the same problem, the gauge needle yo-yo's between half and quarter way depending on speed & load. Did the the geniune thermostat fix it?
