Hi there
My poor Freelander, after a years good service started having the normal auto box problems. After much debate and research used the company below.
I paid £80 to send the vehicle through then another £2200 to have the auto box completely reconditioned, it looks like new in the car..

They have a great set up and can highly recommend them.

They are based in Tollcross, Glasgow. They do work for police ambulance and local council.

So cynical, I was moving some sheep yesterday and the freelander broke down, I was gutted, opened the bonnet and there was diesel everywhere, was glad I hadn't posted this recommendation. Then I suddenly saw the cause.. A wee moose had eaten through a fuel pipe.. Thankfully at the end so even I could repair it. It was then I decided to post the recommendation..

£2200 is main stealer price. Well it was when my F1 v6 auto was replaced 4 years ago.

Think you have been shafted mate.

£925 + VAT for g/box
Cant remember what labour was involved, but it was A LOT less than £2000 for the whole job...

about 800 - fixed in place if the the usual cracked piston job. Working spot on 12 months later.
