Hi all, can anyone tell me if it is possible to put cruise control onto my disco. I have seen one with it but mine never came fitted so just wondering if the connections would all be there for fitting. Ta

Yip, dead easy, just need the dash switch and the steering column switch, kits available on the Bay of E. Some come with the bracket for the steering wheel switch which makes life easier.
Got mine for £55 a few years back.

Did mine with a kit from ebay, came with the bracket and template to cut the plastic out.
Dremel I got for xmas come in use.

Im a complete noob with cars etc and managed fine.

Its interesting that they fitted all the components to every car, just not the controls. I would have thought that by not fitting the bellows, pipes and pump they would have saved quite a bit in the build costs.

Handy that they did fit it all though eh :)

I fitted it on mine I bought the ebay kit, took about an hour and I too used the dremel to cut whole for the steering wheel controls,
another mod I did was the heated seats I bought the switches and panal off ebay for about £20 then got the heat pads from the main stealers for about £80 and they are lurrrvvvvly, the wiring was a bit tricky to find in the centre console as its like spagetti juction down there.

Why do you think there would be bellows? It's all done electronically by the ECU.

By bellows I mean the bit that connects to the throttle body cruise cable. It uses a Vacuum pump to close the bellows and thus pull the cable.

Ah,

Fair enough, I have the V8 D2 not the TD5, hence why I can see one on mine :)

Learn something new everyday on here.
