hi peeps
ive just bought a 2000 plate 4.6 vogue (which is lurrrvvvely) but i have no volume on the radio. sat nav works fine and the radio seems to perform all its functions,except no volume. checked all the fuses nothing blown.
please help

if it,s the hardon/karmon system it will be the dsp amp that is located behind the sounproofing behind the subwoofer,basicly you need to strip out the cd player subwoofer then remove the interior panel then remove the soundproofing,then you will see it,you will be looking around £300 + from landrover for a new one,and they last all that long

i had 2001 diesel with basic stereo. i had the same problem, stereo lighting up but no sound. it turned out that a wire had came off the tweeter in the corner of the passenger door behind the small panel were you get to the mirror bolts and this shorted against the body causing sound to go off. check all your speakers coz it maybe something daft like this. whoever designed rangie electrics should be shot. good luck

I think the amplifier in the boot is just for the sub-woofer. The door speakers have their own amplifier in each door. It sounds more like your head unit at fault or possibly one of the switches on the steerring wheel which have been known to cause similar problems. I think you may have to bite the bullet and remove the head unit to take to a car audio shop for testing. Cost should be about £25. At least then you can eliminate that part of it.

on the 2000 vogue models derek the h/k system is a completly different set up the.dsp amp controls the entire range of speakers except the tweeters,the older range of the h/k systems have the amp on the side of the subwoofer.

Hi - can someone tell me where the DSP is located for the 2000+ models please?
