Hey all,
Today I viewed an extremely nice P38 W reg rangie. Going for about 3k I thought that was a good price.
It has just under 100k on the clock but has never had any work on the engine I believe.
It had a few flaws and niggles which I'm not too worried about. However, I looked under the oil filler cap and noticed a White think substance which I only know in rangies to be a head gasket problem. I'm still however wondering if it's worth it and just fixing the gasket itself... Hoping it's nothing worse of course.
Should I really just be staying well clear of it?! It still drove well.
I'm new to range rovers but willing to learn and do my own work on it. A friend of mine just recently replaced his head gaskets so know how it's done.
Opinions?
Thanks,
Astarin
