Hi
Having spent days trying to source a 200TDi defender engine to go into my 110 Csw, I found an ex MOD 90 today with a 300TDi engine in it and thinking about getting that and flogging my 110 without an engine .
However, was just about to offer when I was told horror stories about oil problems with the 300Tdi engine. I've done a bit of net research but can't find anything conclusive.
Can anyone give me some advice on pro's and con's on the 300TDi and whether I should avoid it or if this is a viable engine.
Having had one engine (2.5TD) go pop in the last two months I really don't want to go through all that again .
