@discool Many thanks for the advice mate, carried out the conversion today, in the rain.
Essentially nothing to report, just wanted to say thanks :)
Much easier to install and bleed, although I'm not sure what order to do it in. Followed the order given in Haynes for the old dual line system (nsr osr osf nsf). Braking is rubbish at low speeds, so I may have screwed up, but pads on the spare callipers don't look too clever, so will be replacing those anyway. Should have done rear again, will do it when weather clears or new pads arrive. Used up my xmas halfrauds voucher on a couple of litres of DOT4, so plenty spare for messing about and replacing the rear lines. The entire system uses no more than a pint.
As a handy side effect, the single line jump hose bracket has better clearance for the swivel top pin bolts.
Now I need to turn the back of the disco back into the back of a disco from the breakers yard it's become over the course of the front end works, but it's good to be on the road again :D:D:D

Its good that hear u did the job successfully so well done. I was surprised on the small amount of fluid required when I replace my fluid every two or three years, the bleeding sequence is old school so longest pipe first then the next ending up at the front o/s nearest the master cylinder.
Also check the servo vacuum pipe isn't perished and the non return valve, which is forgotten about, is clean and working.

Should a 200 have a non return valve? I'm not finding one. Presume it would be in between vac pump and servo. Or is it built into the pipe fitting and sunk into the servo housing? Can't even find a part for it, to be honest.
Hoses are fine, went over those when I discovered the heater recirc assist.
I'll give the brakes another bleed at some point, but they seem to be working well. Brand new wranglers all round so it'll shred the pads before locking up, but it feels fine, and chucks the contents of the boot at the back of my head when I stand on it, so that's good enough for me. Just keeping it under 40 for the first couple of days to be sure.
