Landy ad man your still missing the point! You need the 'DEFENDER' chassis mounts off a 'DEFENDER' because you have a DEFENDER!

Wrong!
I've put a disco 200tdi into a defender and cut the chassis mounts off the disco and welded them in place of the defender mounts and it all fits perfectly, between the chassis rails like normal.
Oh... the disco chassis mounts are sided, double check before fully welding in;):eek::rolleyes:

The bolt that come from the original disco brackets are at least twice as thick as the defender ones! Your Landy must be a rite bodge job no?

:confused::confused::confused:
The bolt is twice as thick (like you) but it fits perfectly into the mount which has been cut off the disco chassis then welded in place of the mount from the defender (which have been cut off). :doh:

You got it the wrong way round! Youl have a bolt that's 'half as thick' the Defender bolt going into a 'disco' chassis mount with a slot in it that will be too big cos it's designed for a 'disco' bolt that's twice as big!

***SIGH***
You have an engine out of a discovery, with engine mounts from a discovery bolted to it, you also have disco chassis mounts cut from the discovery chassis. The defender chassis mounts are cut off and discarded along with the old defender engine with the defender engine mounts attached.
Now please tell me where this defender bolt is, you retarded ****wit.

Your an absolute fookin retard! If you keep the original 'disco' brackets that are bolted to the engine it doesn't physically fit between the chassis rails you jumped up dik- head! I tried doing this when I put mine in and the the original disco mounts would have put the engine 'on' the rails instead of between them! It's nobs like you who I curse when I come to fixing somet on me Landy and discover some prick has Bodged it! Sigh

It DOES fit, and fit properly between the chassis rails.
If you aren't capable of doing it correctly it's not my fault. And you think using engine mounts from a different engine ISN'T bodging? Why not use engine mounts from a mini then? I honestly think the prick who bodged it is you.

Man what a stubborn piece of ****! well I must have been fast asleep when I built mine then. And that parked outside must be somet I dreamed??

What I cant understand is why the disco engine mounts wont fit when the chassis rails are the same distance apart?

Need to know as I will be welding disco mounts to my 110 chassis to accomodate a 300 engine.

Unless the mounts have been hacked off the disco and still have half the chassis attached to them:confused:
