Cheers for the help mate but I've already got that page, and I assumed (tell me if you wouldn't) that the bolt I needed was number 12, part no ER886 - when I ordered this from LRseries, it arrived and was way, way too small - completely wrong, but their packaging and documentation stated I'd been sent the ER886 part.:doh::doh: :confused::confused:
meks sense:rolleyes:,worth a ride out to the stealers i rekin:(

The beast lives once more... after all these months! :D:D:D

Everything I did to it is working perfectly. BUT, the pipes I bought from Pirtek for £70(!!!) fecking **** oil out fecking everywhere!!! RRRAAAAARRRRGHHHHHH!!!

NOW, I've got to drain all my brand new oil out, take the fecking pipes off (easier said than done) drive 20 miles to Ashford, a total of FOUR trips, and get them to do it again!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Still, I'm pleased it didn't blow up, or seize up, or burst into flames. Sounded lavvly too :D

Yeah, fantastic. Was in shock for a few seconds when it fired up and the whole beastie shuddered into life! :D The 110 hasn't had an engine in it since September last year

I would be enjoying it if it wasn't for the FECKING pipes that those apes made for me. Honestly, you would think that a company specialising in 'FLUID TRANSFER SOLUTIONS' would be able to make a couple of simple low pressure oil pipes, would you not??

Yeah i know, pirtek extended my cooler pipes too but fingers crossed they are ok (They be oil all over drive now iv said that ha!)

Mine had a V8 in it before and i dont miss it one bit! I love the reliable agricultural noise of the 200tdi it makes now!

I did my engin swap over xmas his year (The cold snap) nearly killed me! Reading ya post tho makes me look back and love every minit of it :D:D

It is a brilliant noise they make isn't it? A steady, rhythmic clattering. :D
I've owned a V8 powered 110, and that did sound awesome with the extractor branch manifolds and big bore exhaust, but, somehow, it wasn't quite right for a 20 year old station wagon.

Yeah i no what ya mean, all 8 beats of my V8 were saying to me 'im goin to break down on ya in a minute you Sheffield c*nt' LOL!

No good to me off road, slightest bit of water and burbbled to a stop! I was sat half the day watching all the diesels havin fun until i dried out.....:(

Laters mate

Just drove the old girl a mile up the lane for the first time since putting the engine in, and boy what a difference

Only suffered from 1 minor fire, a couple of small leaks and about a dozen electrical faults! I would call that a job well done. :D:D

It does drive fantastically though, so much more pull compared to the old TD, even with a cold engine.

Thanks to all that have helped me along the way - I'm sure I'll be calling for help again soon :D:D

Cheeeeeeers :)

Yep nearly there as you say... jobs for tomorrow if the weather holds off include;
- Fitting the air filter (pipe goes straight from front of turbo to the air filter housing, right?)
- Fitting ma CD player and 6x9s :D
- Adjusting the bonnet latch mechanism (not closing properly at the moment, any ideas anyone?)
- Figuring out why the temp gauge seems to be over reading (I'm thinking I'm gonna change over the temp sender from the old TD?)
- Draining the cooling system and refilling with proper coolant now that it's leak free
- Test driving :D:D:D

Another thing I need is a Discovery 200 tdi PAS pipe - I kinda managed to break one of mine in taking it off :eek::rolleyes::D

Anyone got one? Otherwise I'm gunna have to drive the thing with no PAS (not too bothered about that) and possibly damage the PAS pump as it has no fluid going through it...
