Hi to everyone this is my first post but have read many usefull tips on here so thanks.
now down to the question.
I have swapped my 2.25 petrol out and put a 200tdi from a disco in minus the turbo for now. every thing seems ok except the flywheel housing wading plug seems to be touching the cross member .I was hoping someone here has had the same issue and can shed some light as to the solution ,I was thinking of putting spacers under the rubber mounts on both engine and gearbox any thoughts on this would be great. I did not check the clearance on the old engine before I took it out but if i remember it was very close.
the landrover is a
series 3 1972
the chassis was replaced 7 years ago
the engine mounts are new ones I have checked the height and they are the same as old ones.
many thanks
