I have a 95 M Reg 110 2.5 TurboDiesel County Station Wagon (9 seats). Is it a 200 Tdi or a 300, or neither of the above? Confused, since most accessories for a 110 are listed as suitable for a 200 OR 300 Tdi. Nowhere on my owners manual, used car invoice or V5 does it mention "200" or "300" Tdi.

a quick and easy way to tell is the position of the dipstick , the 200tdi dipstick is to the right of the engine , as you look at it ,and just above the turbo ,and is green , on a 300tdi it's at the front of the engine near the thermostat and is yellow . also 300tdi engines normaly have a black plastic cover over them . although these can be fitted on a 200tdi .

being 95 it will most certainly be a 300tdi. it may not be listed in manals and log as it is not so much the model but the engine. like a 1.2 or a 1.4, but obviously not. neither is faster or more powerful, the 300 is just a newer version of the 200. if it is a 300 then expect to see a catalic convertor and i THINK that 300's have the intake on the right front wing (black panel on side of wing) and 200's will have it on the left. so check for that.
hope i'm not talking **** again, hopeful grifdowg will come and correct me!

In the picture above, the give-away is the two thingys on top of the thermostat housing. The 200 tdi has those, the 300 tdi does not. The main thing is the 300tdi has a serpentine belt for the water pump, alternator and power steering pump and the 200 tdi has separate belts for each function.
