i have purchased 20inch stormers from a rr sport running 275/40
will this work ok on the l322 or should i change the tyre size to the 255/50
i think the rr sport wheel might be a tad wider than the ffrr

You need 255/45/20 to match the rolling radius of 275/40/20. But they would be a little silly on the wider rims.

I run 265/50-20 Nokian studded Hakkapelitta 5 snow tires on the 9.5" RR Sport Stormer rims. This gives exactly the outer wheel diameter wanted for the L322 and fits with sufficient margin. Proportions and width look just right with that combination. I recommend the same size for summer tires with those rims.

If 275/40/20 are the correct size for the sport L322. Then 265/50/20 will NOT give the same rolling radius. At an indicated 60 MPH the vehicle will be doing 63.7 MPH and your speedo will be illegal. 265/40/20 would be best giving a true speed of 59.3 MPH at an indicated 60 MPH.
