Hey Up Everyone,

Got a few things i need to find out -

1 - What is the white part of this called and can i get a replacement as passenger door is not opening. The Right Angle part of the cable keeps slipping out..

2 - I have the Book Symbol on my HEVAC unit. Anyone in the Sheffield area can do a diag for me?
Willing to share crunchy nut for the task :p

Cheerz in Advance

Plastic retainer looks ok. Are you pushing it down into retaining hole properly. If it's loose, clip in then squeeze top up a little to close retainer.

Bend that cable end a little bit inwards and forget about it. Had this happening in all door handles. It's a result of trying to open locked door from inside by puling handle using too much force.

You won't find any one with diag to read the hevac except textbook??? Main dealer only so start looking at the how to guides to track down the problem

Odyssey has a GEMS-engined P38 and a Nanocom. Try him. Thoroughly nice bloke, though I reckon you'll have to come over to Chesterfield cos I think his is a bit poorly too at the moment.

Sadly, Nige is correct, RR is currently immobilised with HG probs, but I do have Nanocom and if you can make it over, you're welcome to plug it in if yours is Gems. Don't know if the hevac diag will work on other flavours. What's it not doing?

Mine is a 97 Diseasel. Will your Nanocom still work?

A GEMS Nanocom will not work on the diesel.

Nanocom will still work as far as I know - it's only the engine ECU that the you won't be able to read and need the additional licence for, all the other modules are interchangeable, you could even
hook up to the Nanocom in the GEMS section - it doesn't check what engine ECU is installed unless you are trying to connect to the engine ECU.

OK never tried it so will have to take your word for it.

I'm sure I hooked up to GEMS and EDC models on mine when I just had the Thor ECU licence, before I unlocked it for all models. There are 4 P38 licences codes you can enter - one for each engine management system, and the fourth for all the other modules.
