Hi WSLR, If the lead was earthing out and not getting to the plug surely I would see a damp plug from un-burnt petrol?

It's not always that clear, especially if the engine is hot.

Just take a look back there and if it looks like a Jean Michel Jarre live concert, then you know what the problem is.

I have the champion spark plugs in there with a 0.031inch gap, I can unplug the sensor but can't unscrew it due to the star drive screw heads.

Plugs look ok.

One other possibility could be the crank sensor working fine from cold but playing up when hot. Can you get it plugged in to T4 somewhere otherwise this is going to cost time and money to sort out?

Hi Was hoping to get this seen to by a friend of the sons but he is always busy and cant seem to fit us in. The wife drove the car today started fine but the problem was immediate, she said it was bad all the way to and from work. Going to try the MAF sensor tonight. Had a shock from Bearmach just enquiring as to cost of said MAF sensor and was quoted £117.

Hi all you experts out there, just ran it without the MAF and no improvement whatsoever.
Oh the other problem cured on the cruise control glued the cracks up until I can get to a motor factors.

I am having another go with a friend to try and get the number 3 HT leads on later today, I prey that this is the problem. However if not I will then have to look at crank case sensors or the o2 sensors which is beyond my boundaries which involves getting it on a machine. I can't understand how it has gone from when it hot when it happens then yesterday started as soon as the wife drove off.

Good news all, finally got the number 3 cylinder HT leads changed and hey presto all seems to be back to normal. Bought some fuel pipe 6mm bore and will use this for the Cruise control cracked pipes, the two short ones. Jobs a good un all for around £56. Thank you all for input.
