Hi guys

Do i need to replace my propshafts for double nuckle ones if fitting a + 2" lift kit, hope not as mine are pletty new :eek:
 
Personally I would, its the only way of taking the strain off the UJs

People talk about wide angle propshafts which are no benefit at all when running the propshaft at the sort of angles experiences with a lift.

However your looking at £300+ for something decent.

I paid £365 for mine but it transformed it from sounding like it was going to explode to silky smoothness

You only really need to do the front one on small lifts, the length of the rear prop means that the angle that the prop is operating in on therear is less.

You can get away without running one, but you are putting lots more strain on the UJ's and if you use it everyday it "could" quickly wear them out.

I run nearly 1000 miles a week in my 110 with a 2 inch lift and standard props and have no issues

mine was clicking like billyo with standard props, I guess it depends what strength springs you have mixed with the +2" length. Mine are heavy load ones and quite tall.
 
2inch lift on mine with wide angle props shafts but still eats ujs

The double Cardon? (Think that's their name) propshafts I saw on a video don't allow as much articulation as a wide angle prop but were better than standard but should help relieve some of the wear and tear in normal use

More articulation really but my BP springs are fooked aswell :)

Sorry to be a miserable git, but the gain will be minimal.
The cost will be propshaft vibration and premature uj wear.
The HD springs will give a horrible ride unless you are actually heavily loaded.
 
The spring rates for the springs in that kit are very high. The ride will not be pleasant unloaded. The light duty 2" was an option for me previously as they are slated to provide a comfortable ride whilst still creating a lift. But maybe it will not be an issue for you as some people are quite satisfied with the results of those heavy duty kits.
 
The heavy weight springs on the rear of mine are awful, the P.O fitted them and its bone jarring unless you have half a tonne in the back.

Im going to fit lightweight springs +2" soon.
 
I have bearmach heavy duty springs and procomp shockers on my csw and the ride is fantastic, infact going to fit same springs on my 200tdi but with terrafirma +2"shocks,
 
Cheer's guys i will just have to see how they are first as most of the time it will be empty but sometimes it will be loaded either carrying peeps in the back or with the trailer on so will have to see :)

i dont think you would want them mate, they look awful - they would want a good rub down and paint
