when i first start the disco in the morning, push clutch in select gear then when i set off i get a strange wine ? only happens the 1st few times i set off in the morning..... i have noticed clutch pedal is a bit squeaky.... (clutch has been changed 4 month ago) what could this be ???

and after a long motorway drive gear selection feels stiffer, but the eases off again

I'm thinking a new clutch master cylinder and new gear box oil ????

clutch release bearing whining, clutch release arm pivot point squeaking.
were these changed with the clutch?
new gearbox oil might help gear selection

If it makes the noise when the clutch is fully or partially disengaged and not when the Disco is in gear then it's most likely to be the release bearing.
