Here's the plan on my D2 v8, going for lpg, with tanks up under the sill (ES spec, so side steps in place) this to keep the full size tank and not have the tank in the boot (space issues and having the tank by the dog..., rather ride the bomb!!! Like Peter Sellers) so rear air bags going cos compressor in the way, great opportunity to put a 2 inch lift on (getting the side steps and tanks further up out of the way) and some bigger 50/50 or even 80/20 tyres on. I know the issues with the longer brake pipes, the spacer for the cross member and bump stops, but my questions are;
1. What effect does a 2 inch lift on ACE have?, really don't want to lose it.
2. Can you buy the chassis spacers commercially, or do they have to be fab'ed?
3. Putting a hefty metal front bumper on with a NAS receiver for a winch when off road, light rear load - don't tow much and very light when I do (dinghy), just me and the Jack Russell inside and the 2x 36l lpg sub tanks, so what springs and shocks do you recommend?
4. Currently running 255/65/16, what size could I go to with the lift without further mods?
Thanks in advance for you input.
