I've been restoring an old 2 door range rover classic slowly... over a few years... as a result of this my memory of where everything goes is probably not what it should be!

One issue I'm having is I cannot for the life of me remember how the rear portion of the front seats attach to the crossmember that spans the car. On the rear of the seats there is a bracket with two diagonal holes in it with two corresponding diagonal holes in the crossmember. However the crossmember is a closed thin wall section and unless I've lost the special thread bolts (entirely possible!) I cannot see what is supposed to be screwed in there. There is no chance of getting to the rear side as the crossmember is sealed and so there are just blind holes.

Anyone have any ideas?
