Hi everyone, sorry if this has been covered before. I've owned my landy for just over a month so treat me like an idiot :)

I've got a 1989 90 with a 200tdi 11L conversion from a 2.5TD, but it still has the original exhaust pipe.
My landy has a snapped bracket that looks like it was holding up the exhaust. The bracket is mounted between the chassis mount for the transfer box. Is this the normal place for it on this model? Looks very out of place. If anyone has a photo of what this should look like on theirs that would be fab!

We have near identical set up. Here's mine, a 1987 200Tdi with LT77 and 200Tdi exhaust system. The first bracket is located same as yours [see top left of photo']. The bracket/location is correct and are readily available.

Interesting.
My son's 200tdi has no bracket at the front, just the one at the rear of the centre section and one at the tail pipe.

I think overtime the weight of the silencer can damage the pipe. When I first got mine, the exhaust was nearly severed aft of the silencer. Perhaps that was just shoddy repair and they didn't tighten bolts up enough?

Maybe, my son hasn't got any silencers on his so not much weight to support.

That is not the setup for a TD exhaust. The TD does not use rubber hangers. It uses old fashioned u-bolts around the exhaust and then a bolt with rubber bushes. OP says he is still using the original exhaust which is the same setup I have on my 110. The centre bracket pictured is a very common place for them to snap but they are available. I have just fitted a new one to mine.

@dag019 , thank you...I misread the OP's post. Of course, OP could update to a std Tdi exhaust, manifold to tailpipe if his wallet permits ;)

He could. But the TD exhaust is very cheap. And you can just replace the useless centre silencer I assume a 90 has the same as a 110 with a straight pipe. On my 110 I have just used two intermediate section so not even a special part!
