Got it started!!!

Was the driver door lock all along. I put new one on and the sync mate still didnt work.

So EKA code attempt again, problem is I snapped the rod that connects the key turns on the door handle to the latch mechanism itself when removing the old one :( so I was like how do I enter the eka code now... Decided to try manually turning the plastic bit on the latch with the driver door open and it accepted it first time and started.

No coolant leaks this time, now to test and see if it still overheats.

My other problem tho is that wee clamp that holds the rod to the key turning mechanism on the back of the door handle, how do I repair that? As right now I can only lock and unlock the car from the fob, if I leave it locked overnight and the key loses sync I have no way into the car.. and my battery was near flat, had to jump start it.

Would a door handle from another RR work, can the key barrel be changed?

So it was not out of sync then just engine disabled.

I'll try get a pic, but it's the wee bit that sort of connects the door key turning but to the rod.

If my fob loses sync again and with the doors being unable to unlock manually at the moment due to the broken clip, is there any way into a locked p38?

It must be fixable in some way. Ingenuity needed.

Think I know what you mean, I made one out of sheet steel, drilled it and fixed it with a small self tapper and "liquid metal", think that's the name, from Isopon or Plastic Padding.:)
