guys. how do i fix a radiator on top ?
or where do i get a replacement by tomorrow?

1996 2.5 dse p38

The plastic? You don’t fix it it needs replacing.

Nissens rad is best I’ve had, now have Britpart cheapy that has lasted few years still good.

Whatever one you get MUST have a baffle along the top, many aftermarket ones don’t and they will not work
Check by rolling a marble or somesuch through the inlet/outlet. If it rolls through send it back, if it gets caught half way through there’s a baffle in there.

Erhh....
No idea of all that stuff.
I just change it - easy without hassle and.doing more as necessary. Kind of.
I may just manage to swap the radiator. With a crowbar and hammer.
That looks allready a month worth a job to me. And I dont jntend.removing any more as necessary bolts to save jobs.

Tbf - anyone has a.partnumber for it?
1996 2.5 dse p38 bmw.6 cylinder.

I dont want to order one wait 3 weeks and send it back wait another 3 weeks.
I tried beafmarch and island 4x4. No luck. I dare paying land rovers prices for it.
I pay taxes and is insured. If its not back running by Friday it gets sorned until it is running.

Checking for baffle is better than the system exploding and doing it/paying/waiting twice.

Is your 30 seconds to check chance to take

I have no idea about baffles and stuff. Sorry. That get straight over my head and means paying a mechanic.
I am sure if I have the part number I can order what I need and just change it.

And yes it auto.
I hate manuel. Lol

Remove fan, remove panel above rad, remove fan cowl, undo the hoses and lift out rad , from memory thats about it.
that sound easy enough/ what panel above do you mean please?
i can see the cowel the pipes and where it sits on the sides

not sure what panel you mean.

ok. so i found that part number for the m51 engine. looks like mine on the top.
the m51 - is it the bmw 6 cylinder diesel engine ?

thats the part number i could find PCC108460G

WAIT!

I think that’s the manual version
Yes 2.5 M51 bmw, 6 cylinder.
(Sometimes. Called 256T at motor factors)

auto rad is different to a manual one so make sure it’s for an auto

Part numbers for these are tricky as there are many superseded ones
