Hello. Looking to fit an HS6 SU carb on my 2.5 petrol. Anyone got the conversion fitted by any chance please? Illl be making the neckpipe. Just need info on needles and tuning.

I made elbow so carb pointed towards original oil bath filter, and used a copper gasket that extended down towards exhaust manifold (it`s painted silver) to prevent carb icing.

It made a massive difference for me.

Perfect fir U bend and as my air intake faces the back of the engine I reused the old metal air intake with the manifold gas intake and a long air hose from a diesel to make the stretch to
the oil bath air filter.
Needle selection was a long story as the one supplied didn't meet Swiss emissions standards but that was an easy fix actually.
Adding a new dizzy from Distributor Doctor made another big difference, oh and important for me in the Alps the heater hose through the carb, had to have the metal pipes made up by local
heating company.
