Hi all,
I have been searching and have found a few useful threads and pages that have been pretty useful (landyworld). But I need to ask my own questions to help me get everything ready to get the conversion done as quickly as possible without being without the use of my 90 for too long as it is my work vehicle.
One of the things that comes up most is the issue with the pipework between the disco engine and radiator in a 90. Would it be possible for me to fit a defender radiator, oil cooler and intercooler assembly without the need for cutting the radiator frame? Or can I just bypass the oil cooler as my 2.5 doesn't have one anyway?
I am currently looking at a discovery 200 on eBay that finishes in a couple of days the seller says it comes with r380 gearbox and 1.2 transfer box obviously these are of no use to me so what is to be done about mounting this 200 to an lt77. Is it a straight bolt in other than the 3 or 4 bolts on the bottom to be drilled and tapped? Can I fit the flywheel housing from my petrol so none of this works needs doing?
