hi, I believe its 0.25mm, I have the engine service manual in pdf format if you want a copy, just let me know your email address via private messages and I will send you a copy

Now then here's a tip for yer.

What I did on my Triumph was to measure the pitch or threads per inch of the tappet screws. You can then work out how much you need to turn the screw from touching the valve top to achieve the correct tappet gap. This is a marvelous way of setting your tappets if the valve stem top has been worn hollow by the tappet screw.

i think mine are well overdue. is this an easy procedure and can i carry out on my own? or will i need a grease monkey mate to help? i dont want to screw it up and blow up my motor :( ive also blown the pinion oil seal on the rear diff today :( breathers work fine though! :(

Probably one of the simplest jobs that you can do to an engine. Might be worth getting a spare gasket.

You will need an inch and 5/8th socket to turn the engine over...

Griffdowg I reckon mine could do with adjustment too - they get quite rattly if I need to work the engine.

If your down this way, we could meet up and do both.:)
