When I did my fuel pump, many moons ago,I was advised by local Indy to change them,I also did the two Flexi's as well , MY 1997. He told me that he won't pass any P38 if he can't see they have been changed. Steel to Copper that is.
I had mine go over the chassis rear cross member, hello Alan ;).... I ended up doing all the rear pipes, rubber and all from the foot well backwards.....

So he insisted on copper pipes over steel? Have a few rolls in one of the cupboards, I suppose I may as well do the pipes while I'm there......

But there was only one of him, don't know where the three comes in. Bloody weather, snow and hail this morning then bright sunshine and freezing cold
wind then later this afternoon more snow and hail with gail force winds.
Sunny here mate and trees in threes and fours :D

Mine are due to be changed on the back end at some point. Waiting for better weather and access to a 4 poster. Not something i'm looking forward to if i'm honest lol.

They are very prone to corrosion at the back end.,he didn't insist but that's what most garages and I used ,think it's a copper nickel alloy Kunifer was the trade name.;)
Don't know why it changed from Kunifer to Limited??? Bloody puter thinks it knows better than me.:rolleyes::D

I had rear go on my L322 back in 2019 while in the mountains of Abruzzo Italy, no chance of getting anyone there to touch it so just cut the pipe and put an end stop on it from the local hardware shop and carried in enjoying the holiday..... Looked a crap job to do so put it in to a local specialist to have them done..

Only ever had one let go on me,it was on an Austin Maxi, I pulled into a garage and braked and a front pipe burst, swerved away from the pumps and yanked the handbrake on.it stopped inches from the workshop doors.Went in and borrowed a pair of Mole grips clamped the flexi and drove home, changed my pants and made a new pipe.

This is one my neighbour had cut back ,after asking , about ten years ago. Water must have got in and it's rotted the base of the trunk, it's a big tree and only half left at the base, don't want the agro if it falls on their house and it's leaning that way.

Trees are scary beings. Some don't take hacking back to well. We had a pear tree outside the house within 5mtrs. It was reduced and then the rain and bugs got to it. Our youngest pushed it over inadvertently..... Scared the beegees out of me.... It could have killed him...
