So it’s been a while since I’ve been on here but I ended up buying my old dse back. It’s got a few issues. Window switch pack had packed up, oil pressure switch is bad, rear main is non existent and 2 buggered track rod ends and a lower ns ball joint and no mot. Anyway while I’ve been working my way through stuff and the battery went flat where it’s been stood. So new battery chucked. Seem rights spec 110ah. All unlocked fine. Key in and will it start….. spins over. No codes on dash so assume engine isn’t disabled. Will pull lines to see if it’s getting fuel but reading up I’m wondering if it’s lost sync with the becm. Battery has been flat for a few months. Will also check relays this weekend but anything else worth looking at for starters

If it cranks but doesn't start, loss of sync is likely. Better to invest in a Nanocom than a syncmate, you are bound to need it for other problems.

Pretty sure there's a member near the New Forest with a Nanocom but cannot recall their name.

Ok so got 5 mins on the truck tonight. I didn’t get a nanocom as too much to outlay this month. I did get the sync mate which shows the becm is fine. I also checked the relay, which is fine and switching with 12v and has continuity when switched. Fuse 39 also good. Took the filter off and jumped pin 5. No diesel. So potentially fuel pump. Which seems to be a common issue

Just don't buy a britpart fuel pump. Go for the vdo unit👍

Anyone got a part number for the olives and feed return pipes to the tank. One pipe had already split as the tank dropped so came away from the union.

Well sorted the tank pump. Fired right up. Guess where else it’s leaking. Not such a great buy back anymore this thing. Anyway. I’ll need a seal kit but for now I’ve cleaned up the leaking top housing and added a smear of gasket sealant so we’ll see if it does the trick until the kit arrives. Still not 100% it’s just the top case seal

Can anyone point me to that injection pump rebuild video? I found a thread on here but can’t for the life of me find it now in the search
