Either some comedian has sugared my tank or I have a problem .... Just clogged my third fuel filter in an hour and now stuck, after 2 filters I dumped the tank contents into 20 litre containers and limped to the garage filled with fresh diesel but made it half a mile, I assume the crap in the pump , fuel lines and filter was enough to block my third and last spare filter, anybody local got one before I call the Aaron recovery to London? Stuck on Bolton road in ramsbottom bl0 9bb ish

Did wonder that but to go from no probs at all to 3 clogged filters straight away??? Will give it a go though... Cheers
 
You may get a filter at local Halfords. Remove filter cycle ignition with glow lamps on and catch crap in a container. Run a fair bit through then fit filter. Sounds like you have contamination in tank.
 
Wammers thanks called them already they were unaware there was a model before the 200tdi reg number doesn't compute lol
 
May have temp fixed , rinsed all 3 filters in petrol , scrubbed sedimenter and reseated, bled to death n it's fired n revs will sit here n idle a bit but scrub any rescue for the moment , cheers Steve
 
Have you got any details of the car? Reg ect, not got one myself but dont mind ringing round localy to sorce one then running it over to rammy fot you.
 
thanks all and lewis replied to pm pretty much did all I could but still not right, no power at all and doesn't want to rev, called AA who sent a patrol to take one look and say well u did more than I could i'll get you recovered.... bright side is it'll save a fortune in fuel getting recovered to London lol :) will strip the lot when back and investigate further...

I'm about 6 or 7 miles away. I don't have a filter, but if you need any tools or equipment I'll come over and help. I can tow you to somewhere safer if needed, or even up to my house if you want.

Thanks all, AA did a double leg recovery with a changeover at Northampton, saved me £60 in fuel I suppose, sorted the issue this morning, filter and lines were all cleared out but looks like the glass sedimenter seal had perished and removing and replacing the sedimenter meant it was pulling a small amount of air (couldnt see as it was getting rapidly dark yesterday. fitted a seal off a spare lift pump n back to running spot on... note to self 'worth carrying one in the spares kit'
