Good morning everybody

Trying to find block serial number on my 19J engine to see if its a later block looked in obvious spot next to water pump but not there! Block is a reddish colour could it be new short motor? block is stamped with issue A hope somebody can shed some light?

look on drivers side of engine on flatish surface above the cam gallery, ie above and behind injection pump or lift pump
