Hi All,
I am rebuilding my 1999 registered V8 manual - the tale is in members vehicles and projects.
I have a question regarding Fuel lines and the fuel pump.
I have had trouble finding correct rubber and metal screw on fuel pipes so I was thinking use either petrol resistant rubber hose and Correct diameter copper pipe. (my fuel pipes at the back are trash)
The new fuel pump I have has no screw on connectors on the top so I am thinking just push some suitable rubber petrol pipe on and use some correct fuel line clamps.
Is this a good way to do it? will the rubber pipe coming from the pump to the filter take the pressure?
Or should I buy a fuel pump with the correct screw on fittings.
The return line should not be a problem I would think?
Any one replaced the fuel lines with this non standard method?

Thank in advance
Ian

On my old RRC i just used stainless braided fuel line all the way through with hose clips, no drama.

dieseldog69 thanks for the reply,
which fittings did you use on the braided hose as this sounds like a great idea, did you use screw on fittings for the pump?
the pump I have received is just the plain push on fitting with a clamp/jubilee clip

@dieseldog69 How did you join the stainless hose onto the pipes coming out of the fuel pump, fuel return I would not be worried about.
Thanks
