Lovely. If it doesn't sell , I'll bet you achieve near that price for it when it expires and you relist on an auction with plenty of watchers from the beginnning

Looks pretty good to me - and a really good list of the extras/maintenance/enhancements. If I was in the market, I'd be keen on this because it reflects the sort of stuff that matters, rather than all cosmetic stuff.

Just one suggestion, that it might be worth adding a pic of the cab/interior, especially since you've mentioned the carpeting, seats and ICE. Apologies if they're there and I just missed them.

I've struggled to value it a little

As an additional comment, if you've invested emotional time and energy into something like this, then it has to be hard to let that go. I've been driving mine for about 15 or 16 years now, the kids grew up with it in the background.... it's a part of our family story, so I'd hate to be in a position to have to sell it, but on the question of value, I wouldn't know where to start. I'd have a different list from yourself, although some overlap. My wife sometimes asks: "is it worth spending £x on job 'y"... I usually reply that the car is holding its value these days, but each old Defender has to eventually become so unique that its value depends on finding the right, informed, buyer.

Yeah, maybe. I did consider doing it as an auction, but was talked out of it by my partner!

Thanks for that, I took them, but for some reason eBay lost them. Have added some, but should have some more that I am trying to find

Nice, better pics would help surely tho.

What pics you reckon I need? I'll get some of underneath when it isn't so wet outdoors! Also the light wasn't very good to show the colour at its best

I am sad to see it go, but I don't use it. I've got an SUV type thing at the moment, and there isn't a scenario where I would like to take it over that unfortunately so it is just going to waste. I used to take it green laning, but now it is shiny and un-dented I don't want to now! I've got a Mitsubishi GTO as my next project and the money would be better appreciated in that

No argument from me - I was just speaking personally. About 17 years ago, just before the Defender came on the scene, we took a similar decision to sell a Type 2 VW camper. We'd done it up, rebuilt the interior etc etc, but when the kids came along we just weren't using it, so it had to go. We felt it would be a shame to see it moulder away on the driveway. 10 years later, and we'd have loved to have had it - but you can only take a decision based on the circumstances at the time. I'm sure you'll find a happy buyer for your 90!

Just under 1000 views and 35 watchers. Guess I've priced it too high then?!!

Classified adverts look like your a dealer & put a lot of people off, I would put it on auction with a high reserve
if it doesn't reach it you can always offer it to the highest bidder after the auction finishes.........

Looks very nice btw ;)

Thanks, it's been a long journey of missing knuckles and cut arms, but yeah I think it's turned out well.

I've got someone coming to see it this weekend, if it doesn't sell I'll do that I think.

Try listing it on lro.com, auto trader and Gumtree

Or selling it me for 50p and a bag of chips :D

Hey, how's it going??

Have you listed on AutoTrader recently? It's well pricey. I usually do tbh, but eBay seems to be the place for less standard cars.

I'll look at some other places to list (and overvalue it and put it on lro for £100k like everyone else seems to! ) if it doesn't sell soon. Only got insurance till the end of the month on it, so it's gotta go

I'll get back to you on your generous offer :p

No worries, ask me nicely and I'll throw in a curly wurly :D

It look a genuine thing @james6546. Keep the faith mate - should sell no probs
Yep, unlike most defenders it doesn't need anything doing to it, and actually makes a half decent everyday car. I don't think whoever buys it will be disappointed.

I just hope it snows soon, will sell then!

Did you get what you wanted for it? I suppose you're going to chuck some wedge at the rice burner you've got and go all fast and furious :p
Haha, not quite. I'd be happy with an mot on it and no holes in the floor!

Got 9500 which is about what I reckoned it was worth. Happy with it anyways
