For sale, my Range Rover.

It's a 1998 4.0 SE Auto model in Rioja Red, with grey leather.
MoT to November.
179k miles

Engine/ drive train
The car runs perfectly due to having a replacement engine from Turner Engineering 50k ago. I have receipts for over £13,000; the block itself was £3500 with another bill from Keith Gott LR for £2500, just to fit it properly with all new parts where required.
It uses no water, never goes above half on the temperature gauge and doesn't use oil. I have just had a full service done, with 10w40 oil and Mahle filters.
The autobox and transfer box both function fine too, with low range selecting as it should etc. The viscous coupling works as it should/ passes the 'test'.
Steering, suspension and brakes all work properly and the EAS has no faults. Just had a complete new track rod. Props show no play and are greased regularly.
Wheels are 18" and very nice. Three of the tyres are very good BFGs. The other is worn on the outside edge but MoT-ok.

Interior and electrics
The interior is in ok condition, but nothing special. The grey leather is in good shape. The pillar covers are tatty with the fabric coming away. Carpets are dry.
All windows/ sunroof/ locks work correctly and it had a new driver's window reg last week.
The HEVAC works well but the book symbol is present. Selects hot/ cold/ distributes ok however.
Sometimes the dash says 'alarm fault'. This is because the backup sounder batteries are flat. Causes no problems.
Cruise control does not work. There are two remote keys, both working.

Exterior
The exterior is average. It looks good in the photos but they flatter it to be honest. There are no scratches or dents but the paint is patchy in places. There is lots of aluminium corrosion on the front wings and blebs on the doors too.
There is no rust underneath and I can't see any evidence of accident damage.
It has a neat removable tow bar.

BAD POINTS-
There is a whine/ drone from the rear diff/ hub bearing. Sometimes it's louder than others. It's been like this some time. No clonks/ cracks/ bangs/ knocks from any of the drivetrain, just a loud drone from the back.
The paintwork, as said, is average - there is lots of bubbly aluminium corrosion on the front wings. The interior is a bit tatty in places.
Apart from that, it's a decent car.
It will happily drive anywhere, I use it most days.

Overall
V5 and all service books here. There is 13 service stamps and all old MoT's. Over £13,000 worth of receipts for work done.

I'm selling it as a decent engine, in an average car!
now asking £1950 ono!

pictures on their way...

Any more, let me know!

I think it's a bargain to the right person (yeah, yeah, I would say that wouldn't I?!) But seriously, this car would break for much more than I'm asking. The engine could be put into a better example and you'd have an endless supply of spares. It goes like an absolute rocket, faster than my previous 4.6...

Please message me with any questions!

I still have this old thing, rapidly bringing down the house values in my road! It really does have a lovely engine and starts up instantly, even after sitting for weeks.
The rest, is distinctly average!

LZers can now drive off into the sunset for £1650! :)
