Woke up this morning to find my dipped headlights on, went out to switch them off and found that the lights were switched off, rear lights are off just dipped on so had to disconnect battery.
Heard its possible to disconnect a relay which may be faulty and everything should be ok as its not required, is this true if so what relay and where is it, my Mot is tomorrow so I need to get this fixed
Please help
Thanks

Have you checked the switch first?

Can't remember if there was a dim/dip relay on the 300Tdi but they don't have relay powered lights, it all runs through the switch.

Got to the bottom of the problem, apparently the 1998 discovery has a dim dipped relay in the passenger side footwell which when you put the side lights on the dipped beam comes on be it on a dimmed light, well this relay had failed. I replaced it with a normal relay which gives me back control of my lights.

Which relay is that? Is it yellow, green or pink?
