Hi, ive just bought a v8i disco with no lpg conversion, and it has gone for an mot and the emissions are high. The vehicle has two new stainless cats and new sensors which are none genuine parts as far as i know. How do i get the emissions down to pass ? the garage has tried a variety of things including resetting the timing to no avail.

A long shot but have you tried adding that emissions reducer additive stuff you get in garages? I had a beemer that I was worried about, it only had about a fivers juice in it, I added a whole bottle (should be per tank) and it passed, the MOT man said he could smell it it was that strong a mix but it still passed.

easy! you get the MOT man to stick the emissions tester onto a punto instead of your disco when he does the test
A tester mate of mine used to do that, until VOSA man caught him :doh: he don't do it any more
