Hi all, just a quick question - handbrake warning light, should there be a 12v live feed to switch at the lever, then it earths through lever/bracket/body. ????

Light not working, found wire from switch not connected to anything and can't find where it connects to.

Thanks

P.S. have searched for other threads first.

Yes 12v on wire from the warning light and switch earths through handbrake to light the warning light. I bought a new switch for mine and it works now and again.......

The wire is connected at the switch end but it is only about 4" long with what looks like a bullet terminal and that's it, can't see where it has broken off from.

Yes, switch is there and the wire is connected with the proper spade terminal, then wire goes through to underneath and that is that, the end.

Well the other end of the wire goes to the brake symbol on the dash................

Looks like you might be tracing wires.......................

Mine works now and again as the switch (new) is **** and at £15 i can live without the light working :)
