Having had this particular range rover for only a couple of months it has developed a bit of a running fault.

It appeared to be firing on only 6 or 7 cylinders, upon checking I have dicovered there is no spark coming from the coil nearest the passenger side at the bulk head, this sends a spark to cylinders 1 and 6,

I am really just wondering if it is possible to replace these single coils without having to shell out for a comlete coil pack and where they can be obtained, or if anyone knows if there would be any other reason other than a knackered pack that would cause this,

I must add should anyone need advice on there quad bike, lawnmower or tractor I'd be happy to help in exchange!!;)

Yes it is fine to replace just a single coil if you can find one,LR sell them as the pack of 4.Breakers usually do them as 4 too,but look around - you may be lucky.

Excellent, cheers for the reply I'll get on to it tommorow, I had actually sold the car when the problem occured so i have taken it back to resolve it, I'll just need to wait a couple of weeks longer for my diesel one!

Hi there, if you need a coil pack I have a spare one that I bought when investigating a misfire problem on my 4.6. It is fully working having been tested on my vehicle. If you are interested I am in Glasgow 30th and 1st july and will have the pack with me.
Cheers.
