oh and at over 90 all the way sometimes touching 120 look after your p38 and it will look after you

i have a 96 4.6 hse on lpg, it has its quirks but i would completely trust it.
day to day car i have complete faith in.

I think anyone who has a 4X4 is crazy not to have full road side cover with national recovery included, the price of a simple 25 mile trip on the back of a truck would cost 5 times what the cover costs so maybe the question should be is anyone that trusting of their car that they don't feel the need for roadside cover.

I am on my first P38 a 1996 model that has 78,000 miles and a very full service history from RR dealers including bills for a complete engine rebuild and service at 75,000 miles and despite that assurance after a bad and very expensive experience with a 1992 RR Classic I would never go without roadside cover again.

On a side note even with the service history and background this motor has it still had a hissy fit and the bearings in the water pump fell apart on the way to Wales and arrived in style on the back of a wagon  but i am still happy to take it up to Scotland for a holiday in January and trust it to get there one way or another.

i have a 96/7 P38 HSE V8 and regularly go up and down from south wilts to Cumbria and scotland. I say regularly , works out at almost once a month for this year. Very happy do trust it 100%. Would do it without recovery.

I have a 2001 model 2.5 DT now with 66k miles having bought it back in July with 59k on it. Since July it has had an EAS fault that stuck the car into it's highest setting, a stuck open thermostat (you have to dismantle half the front of the car to get access to it) and a crack in the plastic on the bottom of the radiator. All covered by the warranty that I got when I bought the car. These problems I see as relatively minor and I would trust the car to do any trip. I am planning to travel to the south of France in it next year. I think this is basically a good car that would have been brilliant if the ancilliary systems had been made by Toyota or Honda etc.
Now the book symbal comes up on the heater display sometimes so I guess it's back again to get it fixed!
I still love the car inspite of a few niggles but if this continues my view may change after my years' warranty runs out though!
I am planning on treating her to a few goodies such as a Van Aaken power box or PSI box to give it a bit more oomph and some alloys from the current model perhaps some 19" would look smart, and then a towbar and dog guard for the more practical side. (if you have any of these items for sale do PM me)
