Hello,

Tim from Canada here - just thought I could ask for some help and advice in finding a nice 110 station Wagon to export to Canada for me and my family to use on camping trips etc.

I've had some correspondence with some "dealers" that specialize in rover exports and have found a couple of decent trucks in the 10 to 14K price range. My biggest concern is with rust of a vehicle this old. Do you think it is possible to find a nice 110 with fairly low miles <100k to export? I've read up a lot on 110's and the rust issues they have, so certainly those would be questions and pictures I would ask for.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a dealer that might have a good 110 available? I was going this route as with shipping etc seemed like the easier way to go. I'm looking for a nice County that my family and I can use daily and for camping trips.

Thanks for all the help,
Tim

Hi - regret I can't help you with fionding a vehicle, but would just mention that worth focussing more upon condition than the mileage - 150k mileage plus isn't an issue if it's been looked after

Hope you find what you're looking for

What year and engines do these vehicles have? Also you might want to consider an export form europe if you can find one, as these won't have as much rust as you get here in britain.

Southern europe!! A lot of rust on he cars in germany and Austria.

+everything is in km and not in miles, could be handy

94-96 is 300tdi.

you should be able to find a well looked after one in the UK with less than 100k miles.

for example my 1996 tdi 90 had 86k miles on the clock and the chassis has never been touched. There are a number of 110 SW out there, but they are starting to command big money. A friend just bought a Rioja Red 110 SW for £8k (private) with 80-90k miles on the clock. again chassis was fine.

hope this helps.

Thanks for the info guy's. I'm originally from a Province with a lot of road salt so I'm used to what can happen there.

Anyone know of any dealers that are reputable? In the UK, or Southern Europe? My brother bought a 110 a couple of years ago from Foley and it seems to be in good order, although a little expensive I thought.

Thanks again for the help.
Tim
