Hi All,

I am finally putting back the dash etc and wondered if any of you had any good ideas on how to remove scratches from a Range Rover classic dashboard.

Mine is grey, I have tried standard dash cleaner and that didn’t do anything but make it smell nice

Cheers

How did it get scratched? It's all hard plastic anyway.

Is it like hard moulded plastic?

You could VERY gently run a heat gun over it, that would soften the edges of the scratches a bit.

Wurth also do a "bumper dye" that recolours the surface, but doesn't really fill scratches, as suck. It makes it all one shade though. I did the entire dash on a Suzuki Carry van with it.

Might be worth posting a picture, if you can get a good one.

Thanks Allan - I’ll deffo have a look at the heat gun thing - I think a dye may be the answer.

I get the feeling that the hard plastic of the Classic Dash just cannot hold it’s colour.

I think I have some back to black somewhere which is actually a white cream colour, so I may try scratching the dash somewhere out of site and seeing it it brings it back at all.

I’ll post a couple of pics - why didn’t I think of that :)
