Hi just joined and just got my disco 200tdi 1990 after wanting one for soooo long finally bit the bullet and got it. What a fantastic car. Pulls like a freight train and loves nothing m ore than mud.

Had it a while now and although nothing has gone wrong I was driving the other day and the diff lock warning light was flickering.

It's definatly coming on as I could feel it when driving just slightly, doing about 30mph.

I've checked the linkage and all seems tight exept the bar that joins the selector to the link from the gear stick. This is a little bit loose but I took it off and the actual select arm on the gearbox feels tight.
Didn't think it could be the sensor as I felt the diff lock in while driving. I've got an overhaul manual on the gearbox and looked at it. But don't want to take the box off and start stripping it as I need the landy to work.

Is it something simple or am I going to have a busy weekend?

Any help is much appreciated. Richard.
