I need to spend some time on it

The clutch master cylinder has started leaking, the speedo stopped working but that may be because I didn't connect the cable properly when I fitted the new dash, passenger door needs the linkage replacing so it'll lock but it's pointless as you can just unhook the rope and flick the lock up in 10 seconds.

They're all minor things , probably not £100 in parts but it needs some time which is why it'd be better going to an enthusiast.

People see a defender for 2k and think I'll buy that and do it on the cheap, before you know where you are you've got another 2k and it's still nowhere near where you'd want it to be.

The soft top isn't secure, all that means is it takes 10 seconds to get into instead of 20 seconds, soft top, hard top, truck cab, none are secure , it's an illusion :D

I think if you're going to ask good money for it then you need to at least do the few mechanical bits.
The extra's not so much.
But the problem with half done stuff is you don't know what's been done and what hasn't and is often easier to start over again.

But my thinking is that if an enthusiast buys it they wont want to pay for it.
Or someone who doesn't know much about them buys it. Then they wont want to be working on it.
In which case it need finishing off fully.

But I'd still try your luck as it is and see if anyone bites.
It really does look the part now and I don't see you having a problem to be honest.

I keep coming back to this post thinking that I should sell my project rebuild and buy this.... Please would someone buy this so I get on and finish mine !

As much as this is a nice 90 and it looks much better than when it left me.
The satisfaction of building your own will be much grater then buying someone else's.
Probably not what I should say on someones for sale thread, But if you've already got a project then that can be just as good or better than this.

Im not bothered Aaron , I don't think it'll sell on here in a million years

If there was a delete thread option I'd take it , I've more or less decided I'm going to sort out the bits that want doing and ebay it anyway

The problem I have is that I am impatient! Good luck with the sale.

Yeah, I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes
But I think that is the best bet dude.

I know the feeling with being impatient but when they're done it's worth the wait and a nice feeling to know you've built it from the ground up yourself.

Personally I like to build something to my own spec and and exactly how I want it.
Which I thoroughly enjoy doing :)
My problem is I get bored to easy, So once I've ploughed money into getting it how I want, It gets sold 6 months down the line as I want something different

Although my current project I don't think I could never sell it.
I've got far to much time, money and effort in it.
Much more so than usual.

But if this is exactly what you want spec wise I say go and have a look and see what you think.
If you haven't already have a read of my build thread on it to see the amount of work I put into it.
Plus the amount of work Wack has also put into it, It has made a very nice 90.

I'm sorry but I don't think quarter panels help. I liked it until that point, see LAND ROVERS
are marmite at the best of times love or hate.

They're specific I'd put the truck cab on keep the being sell seperate, freestyle wheels new tyres safari snorkel tdi 2 spoke steering wheel k&n but sort that tub its not right, get cut offs another tub and black chequre plate, ATLEAST it won't look cheap,

That's how it came to me, I'm not going to start changing tubs because it's got challenge corners fitted

Oh well upto you I guess, just sold my G reg truck cab 90 had a hole in the side 50p size, snorkel connected with a hole in the safari new wheels and tyres welded up 200 def with 300 manifold never painted all original and got 5 and a half k

Pleased for you but the work involved changing a tub and getting it painted when there's nothing wrong with it just wouldn't be cost effective

As its a soft top the tub wouldn't take you more than 4 5 at the most to change, respray around 300 350 then you could charge more, but if you want it the way it is ATLEAST put winch kit on, lrm I think it was were advertising galvanized winch bumper britpart for hundred quid easy fit then a winch that's another 5-7oo quid onto value,
