Head's a shed
I need to spend some time on it
The clutch master cylinder has started leaking, the speedo stopped working but that may be because I didn't connect the cable properly when I fitted the new dash, passenger door needs the linkage replacing so it'll lock but it's pointless as you can just unhook the rope and flick the lock up in 10 seconds.
They're all minor things , probably not £100 in parts but it needs some time which is why it'd be better going to an enthusiast.
People see a defender for 2k and think I'll buy that and do it on the cheap, before you know where you are you've got another 2k and it's still nowhere near where you'd want it to be.
The soft top isn't secure, all that means is it takes 10 seconds to get into instead of 20 seconds, soft top, hard top, truck cab, none are secure , it's an illusion
I think if you're going to ask good money for it then you need to at least do the few mechanical bits.
The extra's not so much.
But the problem with half done stuff is you don't know what's been done and what hasn't and is often easier to start over again.
But my thinking is that if an enthusiast buys it they wont want to pay for it.
Or someone who doesn't know much about them buys it. Then they wont want to be working on it.
In which case it need finishing off fully.
But I'd still try your luck as it is and see if anyone bites.
It really does look the part now and I don't see you having a problem to be honest.
