Hello everyone... So I've always read articles on here as I've wanted a Land Rover for years. Last week I finally got my hands on one! Over the moon. Clean inside, runs really well (so it seems) but unfortunately after a few days driving my battery is flat. Must be alternator right? Also there's a few spots of oil and coolant dripping soon as I park up.. Any ideas? Should I clean the engine and run it afterwards to check where the leak is coming from? I've got a years warranty with the defender which is a bonus.

Not wanting to pedantic but you have bought a Land rover 90 with a 200tdi engine not a Defender 200tdi not launched until late 1990 . Get the alternator checked, Screwfix do a cheap degreaser for about £6 5lt clean the engine then start trying to stop the oil leak's

Just degrease it all, and wash off thoroughly, you will be able to see where it is leaking! :)

And its a Ninety! :) With a retrofitted 200Tdi! ;)
