Guys, have searched the brake threads but want to cut to the chase...I want to upgrade the front brakes. Not looking for huge brake stoppers, just a straight forward front brake improvement. Am I right in understanding that Def 110 front brakes are a straight swap on the 90 with the following spec'...

110 Vented front discs
110 Front Calipers with 46mm stainless pistons
EBC Greenstuff or Mintex 1144/1155 brake pads

note: have new/freshly rebuilt Servo, MC and st/st braided hoses

Key objective is to increase braking surface area/heat dissipation. Any recommendations on manufacturer specs would be greatly received - ideally to buy an off the shelf proven kit.

Thank you

Later 90's and 110's used the same brakes as early 110's, so I wouldn't think there would be much of an issue. The 110 brake discs are thicker.
I think that vented discs are an option on some 110's and were definitely fitted as standard to some Range Rovers (Classic), you should be able to put a kit together using standard parts.

Did this on my 1990 90, I used calipers for a 200tdi 90 and stayed with the solid discs. straight swap.

I did exactly this mod to my 1995 90 at the begining of lockdown,as I spend a lot of time in the Pyrennes,& on long descents I get a bit of brake fade.
First impressions are good, but I've not had chance to put any miles on it yet......
Straight forward swap 110 disks & calipers,+ pads.

Discs were Terrafirma.110 vented.
Calipers,aftermarket.Not sure of the maker.
Pads were Terrafirma ceramic.

When I did mine I got some drilled and grooved vented discs from the EBC website, but I see quite a few manufacturers are offering them now. As far as I'm aware the lugs that the calipers attach to are in the same place on all models and there's plenty of space inside the wheels, so should be relatively straightforward. Post some pictures of doing the job!

i did exactly this on my 1991 90 - i fitted 110 calipers and standard pads, and vented discs. I changed the MC and the servo at the same time for the 110 items. Makes a big difference. All unbolted and the new bolted straight back on, it was easy.
You may need to change the solid pipe that goes from the flexi then around the caliper as they are different between early 90 and late 90/11. I jsut bent and flared my own though using cupro
