Just got underneath and taken a few photos the best I could. It’s not a three bolt flange but a two. The system I ordered off eBay today looks to be a two bolt (phew). Couple of pics attached


Your front pipes look fairly similar to my 90 as standard 200tdi defender exhaust should fit, u might need to fiddle teh mountings a bit
 
@Mudhound , for absolute ease just buy a complete off the shelf exhaust system including new manifold...they're cheap as chips and readily available. If the downpipe is some bodge jobbie the new mid and rear sections may not fit and you'll end up wasting hours faffing around to make work.

Yes, it comes as a kit. You may find some of the hangers need a flex to fit properly. The only fiddly part is fitting the manifold securing bolt next to the engine mount. I find the best way to fit an exhaust is to completely install, but keep all bolts/nuts lose. Then tighten up from the manifold...working rearwards. This way there's no stress on the manifold itself
@v8250 just got my new system delivered and got underneath to start fitting. I removed the stupid stubby pipe that had been added from the first flange but it appears that the section from the first flange back to the turbo is different, any thoughts? Forgot to add that the flanges don’t mate and they push the whole system 7” towards the rear.

Looks to me that the down pipe you have is as someone said a converted disco one.
As noted before the disco to defender conversion pipe is the expensive bit [ as much as a complete standard system.]
What to do now?
1. Get the conversion pipe.
2. Use the original down pipe and the new Defender down pipe and combine parts of the two to put the flange in the right place for the system. This as you may have guessed is a welding job.

a mate made his but it was at rolling chassis stage with bulkhead on so he could trial fit easily, i bought mine it was about £90 which stung but it just bolts in and come with the most impressive exhaust clamp i has ever seen
