Hey chaps,

Basically ive found a subframe to fit my OMP seats into my Defender but emailed the shop and they state is fitted for a 1985 - 1990 Defender is there any difference between a 2002 Defender?

Yes yours are 10mm holes and early ones are 13mm holes

Other than that no!

So this subframe im after could fit?

If the older Fenders have 13mm bolts and the newer ones have 10mm that should mean that the actual mounting points should be in the same location?

Before I spend another £60 on various brackets could someone else confirm?

That the 4 seat mounting points in '85 - '90 Defenders are the same in '02 Defenders?

I can't confirm sorry, but I don't believe the seat box in Defenders changed greatly until the very latest generation. I can't be sure about the exact position of the bolt holes though.

In that case has anyone put post '90 seats into an older Defender?

my 90 is an 1985, it has 8 bolts to hold each seat, i replaced the seats for some from an unknown year and they had only 4 bolts but lined up perfectly with 4 of the holes

I fitted tdci seats in to an 89 defender and all bolt holes lined up.
