Hi everyone -
Still working through replacing all the cracked plastic bits and removing the random stuff found behind the dash (marbles?). Wanting to rebuild using the right hardware, screws and bolts as I replace the binnacle and surrounding components, rather than the random assortment of wood screws and zip ties I found there to begin with!

Anyone offer suggestions on resource for finding an exploded diagram or something like that showing the assembly and parts? For instance, I need to remount the heater controls but the screws that I removed were not the right ones and I don't want to reinstall. I have various shop books for the truck but not finding much to go on. Anything appreciated!

I have just done this for mine, I will dig out my parts order. I went through the parts manual and noted down all of the part numbers in every place on the inside of the dash but when I was going through trying to order all the little plastic push fittings that screws go into a lot of them had been superseded and there are only actually about three different types now.

I would also not bother trying to use the "correct" screws. They are nearly all pan head screws so I have just ordered a mixed batch of sizes from ebay all in stainless. This way they are better than the originals and do the same job.

That is sage advice around not trying to use the "correct" screw --- I'm learning that the "correct" screw is the one that gets the job done (and since I can't find assembly instructions, who is to tell me otherwise)!

I did the same thing and ordered a batch of screws in stainless and now just use them as the need arises!

In all seriousness, the parts came in, swapped over the gauges, tested and all work incl the warning lights panel and then... testing while reassembling, no more gauges, no more warning lights, no more turn indicators... I do however have headlight, hi/lo and fog lights on the dash.

The white/green combo are "jumped" together and appear to have been be connected to the cylinder in the second, lower circle. From the wiring diagrams and what has changed since I've been working behind the dash, this is the only thing that makes sense to have caused the warning and other lights to have stopped working.

I get everything is interconnected, so welcome any suggestions from the group. (I got my blinkers working again last week by reconnecting my hazard light switch). Wiring diagrams!
